Production of Tomato Paste & Diced Tomato Purchased by Merko Holding in February 1998 and subsequently merged into Merko,Sultanköy was a well established producer of tomato paste and other products, as well as seeds, and while its purchase had increased the capacity of tomato paste in the group to around 37,000 mt, the capacity was further increased to 45,000 mt after the new investments completed in 2000 when

a new T100 line, including the company's 3rd Eldorado Hot Break system, from Rossi & Catelli was installed. The capacity at Sultanköy plant is 12,000 mt of tomato paste and 14,000 mt of diced tomato. The factory is located in a growing area adjacent to the one where Tepecik is located, 21 Kms away as the crow flies.
